SUBSTANCE: invention relates to supply unit (10) for supplying valuable documents (9), first of all banknotes, to device (1) for processing valuable documents, having: receiving device (11) in which one or several valuable documents to be processed (9) can be enclosed, and which has first leveling element (13), on which the corresponding first edges of valuable documents (9) lying in receiving device (11) are aligned, when receiving device (11) is in the first position, and which has second leveling element (15), on which the corresponding second edges of the valuable documents lying in receiving device (11) are aligned, when receiving device (11) is in the second position, and positioning device (19), by means of which receiving device (11) can be transferred from the first position to the second position.

EFFECT: object of the invention to enable a feeding of value documents, in particular reject value documents, to the value-document processing apparatus in manner as user-friendly and reliable as possible.
