Computing system comprises: a processor; memory that comprises an application that is executed by the processor, wherein the processor, when executing the application, is configured: to construct a query based upon incremental modifications to previous versions of the query; in response to receiving the selection of an intermediate query step in said sequence of query steps, retrieve tabular data from a data cube and display the tabular data on a display device; receive step-by-step modification of said query, while tabular data is displayed; modify said query based on said step-by-step modification in order to add another query step to said query; retrieve second tabular data from the data cube in response to said query modification.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of implementing queries.
