FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) signals simulators calibration in terms of the query-free range (pseudo range) generation systematic error value estimation. GNSS simulators calibration method consists in the generated navigation signal and the signals simulator time scale second mark simultaneous two-channel high-frequency analog-digital conversion (ADC), in the signals subsequent digital demodulation with two quadrature components in all of the operating GNSS frequency ranges, in the signals filtering by the smoothing filter with the linear phase-frequency characteristic, with subsequent searching for the binary modulating sequence corresponding front transition through zero and measuring the time interval between the found transition and the signals simulator time scale second mark, which corresponds to the signals simulator instrumental error, at that, the two-channel analog-to-digital conversion is performed with sampling frequencies at least twice the navigation signal carrier frequency and with the ability to swap the two-channel ADC input signals to repeat measurements.

EFFECT: increase in the GNSS signals simulators calibration accuracy in terms of the pseudo ranges formation systematic instrumental error, in enabling of the calibration results traceability to the units of values primary standards, as well as possibility of the navigation signals calibration with two quadrature components in all of the operating GNSS frequency ranges.
