SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an article retainer assembly for a vehicle. Article retainer assembly includes a housing, a first retainer and a second retainer. Housing defines a storage compartment. First retainer is carried on the housing and includes a first set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps defining a first slit therebetween. Second retainer is carried on the housing and includes a second set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps defining a second slit therebetween. First set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps and the second set of opposed, flexible retaining flaps extend across the storage compartment.
EFFECT: provided is a universal article retainer assembly which allows holding a large number of everyday items for the vehicle operator at a convenient to reach location.
