SUBSTANCE: storage system for an instrument panel for a motor vehicle comprises an instrument panel comprising a storage cavity forming a first docking assembly, a second docking assembly in a motor vehicle and a removable storage compartment. Second docking assembly in motor vehicle is remote from dashboard. Detachable storage compartment comprises docking element for mating connection with first docking assembly or second docking unit. Mating assembly comprises hinged ledge and suction cup. Suspension ledge is received between inner door panel and door window, and suction cup interacts with door window.
EFFECT: increased storage space in vehicle.
