FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear energy and can be used in reactors with direct conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy. Core of a nuclear reactor includes at least one module, a solid and a liquid neutron moderator. Module includes a housing, at least one heat pipe, at least one fuel element, a housing and thermal insulation. Heat pipe is made of housing, wick and contains evaporating coolant. Evaporation zone of the heat pipe and fuel elements are enclosed in a casing filled with a heat-transfer fluid. As the heat carrier of the heat pipe and the liquid heat carrier in the housing, liquid metals with a high boiling point are used. Heat insulation is placed in the space between the casing and the module case. Solid neutron moderator has at least one opening in which at least one module is located. Space between the solid neutron moderator and the module is filled with a liquid neutron moderator.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of reactor facilities and expanding the scope of the core.
