FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear power with direct energy conversion. Active zone of the nuclear reactor contains at least one module, solid and liquid neutron moderators. Module comprises a housing, at least one heat pipe and at least one fuel element. Heat pipe is made of a body and a wick and is located inside the module and is equipped with thermal insulation in the evaporation zone. Fuel element consists of a shell and a nuclear fuel and is located inside the heat pipe. Solid neutron moderator has at least one opening in which at least one module is located. Outer surface of the shell of the fuel element is equipped with a wick. Space between the solid neutron moderator and the module is filled with a liquid neutron moderator.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of reactor facilities and expanding the scope of the core.
