SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to bag forming method (99) of a flexible material with first side seam (3) and second side seam (4), starting with belt (2) extending from reel (1) having a direction (D1) of movement. Method includes the following steps: a) making the first fold (3) by folding near first side edge (21) of tape (2) coming out of coil (1), and b) making second seam (4) by folding belt (2) extending from coil (1); step b) is performed on portion (98) of belt (2) extending in the direction (D1) of movement, after performing step a) on said portion. Present invention also relates to a machine capable of carrying out such a method.
