FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: packages are made of film strip with two opposite lengthwise edges. Said film is wound about shaping mandrel to make the spiral so that film edges abut. Spiral is pulled off the mandrel unless the first seam section formed by lengthwise edges and extending in circumferential direction along the 180 degrees arc and opposite film first section are released. Then, spiral is penetrated in the area of the first seam section. Note here that this section is sealed with said first section to make the first sealing section. Spiral is pulled from the mandrel unless second seam section formed by lengthwise edges extending in circumferential direction along 180 degrees arc about the spiral and abutting on said first seam section as well as film second section opposite said first section to squeeze the spiral in the area of second seam section. Note here that second seam section is sealed with second section to make the second sealing seam intersecting the first sealing seam. Proposed device comprises forming mandrel, device to feed film with lengthwise edges, device to control making of the spiral from the film at winding on the mandrel so that lengthwise edges abut. Besides, sealing device is arranged at sealing device located in the area of the mandrel end outlet side to seal the spiral at package forming. Note here that sealing device can seal the first seam section composed of lengthwise edges and extending in circumferential direction along the arc through 180° around the spiral with the first film section located opposite the first seam section and second seam section abutting on first section composed by lengthwise edges and extending in circumferential direction along the arc of 180° around the spiral with second film section opposite the second seam section.
