SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to astronautics and can be used to launch spacecraft (SC). In the method of launching the SC to accelerate the SC in a closed volume of the device at the time of the explosion of the explosive contained therein 5, a vortex electric field is created by connecting placed in the internal cavity electrode 6 with the secondary winding of transformer 8, in the primary winding of which the alternating electric current is generated by generator 9. Device for launching SC contains barrel 1, cover 2, housing 3, made of a dielectric material. Cross-section of the cover 2 is narrowed in the direction of barrel 1. Electrode 6 is placed in the internal cavity of the device, connected through diode 7 to the secondary winding of transformer 8, in the primary winding of which an alternating electric current is created.
EFFECT: technical result of the group of inventions is the possibility of spacecraft acceleration to cosmic velocities.
