FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a driving device for a motor vehicle, in particular for driving an oil pump. In the method, the drive device comprises an internal combustion engine (ICE) to drive a motor vehicle, a lubricant pump to supply lubricants to the ICE bearings and a lubricant pump driving means, which is drivingly connectable and/or connected to the lubricant pump and by means of which the lubricant pump is driven independently of the internal combustion engine during the phase of its start and/or shutdown.
EFFECT: invention provides an adequate supply of lubricant to the bearings of an engine, including during the phase of its start.
