FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods for studying water erosion, and can be used in soil science, land reclamation and hydrology. In the method of profiling the daily surface of the soil at the elementary site in the field, including the use of technical means of measurement, determine the profile of the ground surface of the soil by the field profiler along an Archimedes spiral curve bounding an elementary platform, simultaneously measuring the angle of the beam from the zero mark in degrees and the height of the irregularities of the ground surface of the soil at a given point, the information is presented in the polar coordinate system at a known pitch of the spiral, and equations are used to translate into a Cartesian coordinate system.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of determining and digitizing the profile of the soil surface of the elementary site in the field.
