FIELD: physics, measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns agriculture, in particular to methods and devices for studying of a sink of thawed and rain waters arising on a runoff creating surface. Coefficient of a hydraulic roughness in field requirements spot by introduction of a thin-walled glassful in water sated soil from vertexes of unevennesses to their warrant for an establishment of height of a roughness, and then spot the coefficients depending on a roughness and a mode of a motion of a fluid. The coefficient of a hydraulic roughness represents the relation of a gain of specific energy of a stream of a fluid on interaction with a rough surface of a friction to specific energy of a stream of a fluid at interaction with a smooth surface. The device consists of the thin-walled glassful erected by means of carving linking on a pipe, the seats which are a device of basing, the dowel, an adjustable graduated arc erected on a pipe by means of a nut, a counternut, a branch pipe for air delivery under low pressure, a branch pipe for air delivery to a micromanometer. The method allows promptly specify coefficient of a hydraulic roughness in field requirements.

EFFECT: simplification of the method and increase of accuracy of definition of coefficient of hydraulic roughness in field requirements.
