SUBSTANCE: mounting part (350) joins the mounting assembly (34) of the ground engaging tool (30). Interchangeable cutting element (340, 440) also includes, at least one wear part (360, 460) connected to the mounting part (350) and forming at least one edge of the ground engaging tool (68). At least one wear part (360, 460) has at least one first surface (66), containing, at least one groove (390) extending from at least one edge of the ground engaging tool (68) to the mounting part (350), at least one second surface (64), and at least one thickness (T5). At least one maximum thickness (T5) of at least one wear part (360, 460) is greater than the maximum thickness (T4) of the mounting part (350).
EFFECT: replaceable cutting element (340, 440) for the earth engaging tool (30) is presented, which includes the mounting part (350) having the first surface (56), the second surface (54) and the thickness (T4).
