FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for fractionating a hydrocarbon feedstock using at least one fractionating area equipped with separator internals, and at least two interchangeable base areas suitable for being connected to the base of the fractionating area such that at least a first of the base areas operates alternately with said fractionating area for a duration, which at most is equal to a clogging time, such that when at least the first of the base areas is clogged or before it is clogged, said area is disconnected from the fractionating area in order to be cleaned whilst the process of fractionating the feedstock continues by means of at least one other of the base areas.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the method for fractionating hydrocarbon feedstocks.
