FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to the field of experimental surgery, and can be used to assess the activity of regeneration of a full-thickness rat skin wound in an experiment. Rat is given a full-thickness skin wound. Blood flow velocity (ml/s) and the area of the wound (mm2) is measured. All measurements are carried out on the 7th and 14th day from the time of causing injury. Average systolic volumetric flow rate is measured as the blood flow velocity. Ratio of the area of the wound to the average systolic volume velocity is calculated. Improvement of the wound regeneration process is evidenced by the value of this ratio less than 9.6 for the 7th day and less than 4.45 for the 14th day. Retrogression of the wound regeneration process is indicated by the value of this ratio of more than 10 for 7th day and more than 4.88 for 14th day.
EFFECT: method provides a reliable estimate of the regeneration activity by measuring the blood flow velocity.
