FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to wound coatings, and aims at treating 2–4 degree burns. Wound coating contains a carrier matrix in the form of a high-molecular carbohydrate compound and an antibacterial component isolated from brown algae, namely fucoidan. Bacterial cellulose is used as carrier matrix. Besides, the wound coating contains a sterile physiological solution wherein fucoidan is dissolved. Concentration of fucoidan in physiologic saline is not less than 2 %.

EFFECT: obtaining effective wound coating for burn wounds based on material of natural origin, simplified technology of its manufacturing.
