SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to bicycle frames. Bike frame hinge bracket assembly comprises a pair of brackets, the first gear component, a cable and a lever. One of the pair of brackets has a radially-inwardly extending protrusion. First gear component is coupled to a second bicycle frame component. First cable interacts with the pair of brackets and selectively shifts the first protrusion into a set of recesses for rotationally blocking the first gear component relative to the first pair of brackets. Lever is rotatably attached relative to the first component of the bicycle frame. Bicycle frame comprises a top tube, a seat tube, a chain stay, a head tube, a pair of brackets, a gear component and a cable. Seat tube has an upper portion rotatably coupled to a rear portion of the top tube about a first pivot. Chain stay is rotatably coupled to a lower portion of the seat tube about a second pivot. Head tube is rotatably coupled to a forward portion of the top tube about a third pivot. First pair of brackets is coupled to the seat tube on the first pivot.
EFFECT: lighter structure of the bicycle frame.
