FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of synthesis of radiation protective materials for the atomic and radio engineering industries. Polymer composite for protection against ionizing radiation includes a polymer matrix, lead-containing filler and additionally contains polyimide varnish. Polyimide in the form of track membranes is used as the polymer matrix, metallic lead is used as a filler, and also additionally contains polyimide lacquer in the following ratio of components: polyimide – 23–36 wt. %; metallic lead – 62–76 wt. %; polyimide lacquer – 1–2 wt. %. There is also a method of obtaining a polymer composite.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to obtain a polymer composite for protection against ionizing radiation on the basis of track membranes with high heat resistance and high tensile strength.
