FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: spillway construction refers to hydraulic engineering, and specifically to structures that allow excess water from the upstream to the downstream while simultaneously extinguishing the energy of this stream, mainly used in complex geological and topographical conditions. Spillway structure is located between upper 2 and lower 3 pools of the water course and includes water intake device 5 and end device 6 connected by conduit 7. In the rupture of conduit 7, chamber with valves 8 and an energy-extinguishing device are mounted. End section of conduit 7 from the side of the upper reach is made with a vertical deviation downward and is adjacent to the top of shutter chamber 8. Energy-extinguishing device made in the form of vertically arranged cylindrical shaft 11, the end of the upper section coaxially attached to shutter chamber 8 from the bottom, and the lower section, through a side opening connected by discharge conduit 10 with end device 6. Discharge conduit 10 is made with a reverse slope, and end device 6 is made expanding in the plan.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the reliability and safety of work and efficiency of the structure.
