SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crossing signalling for informing drivers of vehicles. Device contains indication blocks, each of which is installed on the mast of the corresponding crossing traffic light with red lights, and a time delay reference block placed in a relay cabinet or on a cabinet in a relay room, the inputs of which are connected to the contacts of the free road section sensors relay in the area of the crossing and crossing approaches, and the outputs are connected to the winding of the automatic crossing signalling relay and to the control inputs of the display units, respectively, to close the automatic crossing signalling with an additional delay, determined by the difference between the actual and calculated lengths of notification areas in even and odd directions of movement, and to start the countdown of time on the display units for a certain period of time before the automatic crossing signalling is activated.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the effectiveness of informing the drivers of vehicles about the time remaining until the closure of the crossing, due to the synchronization of the countdown on the display unit with the actual time of crossing signalling activation.
