FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to vascular surgery. Intersection of the great saphenous vein (GSV) is performed and its distal part is removed. Proximal end of the GSV is mobilized to a level above the knee joint. In the popliteal region, an incision is made and a small saphenous vein (SSV) is extracted to the ostial valve. Distal part of the SSV is removed, the proximal end of the SSV is mobilized. Valvulotomy of the SSV ostial valve is performed. Between the GSV and SSV an anastomosis of the type end-to-end is formed.
EFFECT: method allows to effectively eliminate chronic venous insufficiency and dynamic phlebohypertension of the lower leg in post-thrombophlebitic syndrome (PTS) by creating a direct outflow of blood from the veins of the lower leg and foot along the GSV, providing a natural passage of blood through veins, eliminating the risk of thrombotic complications.
