SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video coding, in particular, to internal video prediction. Proposed device is an internal video prediction, performing the steps: determine if there is a predetermined number of adjacent pixels, adjacent to the current block, unavailable for internal prediction of the current block; when the first adjacent pixel from among a predetermined number of adjacent pixels is unavailable, search the second adjacent pixel from among a predetermined number of adjacent pixels in a predetermined direction from the lowest adjacent pixel on the left to the uppermost adjacent pixel on the left for adjacent pixels on the left and from the topmost adjacent pixel on the left to the topmost adjacent pixel on the right for adjacent pixels on top; assign the pixel value of the second adjacent pixel to the pixel value of the lowest adjacent pixel on the left; replacing an inaccessible pixel located at the left side of the current block with a pixel value of a lower adjacent pixel immediately below the inaccessible pixel; replace inaccessible pixel, located at the top of the current block, successively the pixel value of the adjacent pixel on the left, located immediately to the left of the inaccessible pixel; and performing intra prediction on the current block by using a predetermined number of adjacent pixels, wherein the first adjacent pixel is located at the very bottom left of the current block, at that when the size of current block is nT × nT, where nT is an integer, predefined number is 4nT + 1.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction in complexity of process while determining reference pixel for internal prediction.
