FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solar power engineering of a space vehicle with solar photon sail (SPS). Deployable SPS is made from one or more strips of a flat film, on which a film solar battery (SB) is installed. In the expanded state, the solar battery represents a cellular structure with cells in form of 4- or 6-edge hollow pyramids, on the inner side of which photoelectric converters are installed. Translucent (light-filtering) protective film can be placed on the working surface of the solar battery. Space vehicle can be equipped with antistatic device electrically connected with reflecting surface of SPS. Proposed SB, in addition to power supply of space vehicle onboard users, provides SPS with additional rigidity of shape.
EFFECT: improvement of reliability and enlargement of functional capabilities of a space vehicle.
