FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar, in particular to radar systems (RS) intended for mapping using antenna arrays and can be used, for example, in aviation to equip both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. Monitored solid angle is irradiated continuously with a linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal from the antenna transmitter, and the receiver uses a multipath multi-channel linear phased array antenna consisting of longitudinally and transversely receiving antennas providing sharpening of the generated beams, with the inclusion of range filters in each of the receiving channels. Receiving device that implements the method is made in a certain way and is a multi-beam ultra-high frequency (UHF) linear antenna array that includes N receiving modules with antenna elements and amplifiers, the antenna element of each receiving module being designed as a longitudinal reception antenna, each receiving module is made with a microphase changer, each of which is connected between the output of the antenna element and the input of the amplifier and provides a micro scan of the beam of rays.
EFFECT: increasing the resolution in azimuth and range of the on-board RS and reducing the scanning time of ground objects.
