FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of the body frame of vehicles, which contains a pair of rear spars, a bumper beam and a spare wheel compartment, with a spare wheel housed in it. Said rear spars contain a rear segment aligned with the bumper beam, a middle segment located above the rear segment, and a front segment that extends downward from the middle segment. During a rear impact test with a 70 % overlap with a moving deformable barrier at a speed of 50 miles/h, the spare wheel compartment containing the spare wheel rotates downwards to create additional space for crumpling, and the middle section rises to reduce penetration into the passenger compartment.
EFFECT: proposed is a vehicle body frame (options).
