FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic equipment and relates to a device for detecting dust formation on printed circuit boards of radio electronic equipment. Device operation consists in the periodic emission of light pulses by the LED and the reception of these pulses reflected from a monitored surface by a photosensor. Chromatic surface is used as a test surface, and a colorimetric photo sensor is used as a photo sensor. Dust formation is estimated by the change in color saturation in a light flux reflected from a surface being monitored.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide the ability to control the level of dust formation at which leakage currents may occur, on an arbitrarily chosen surface and in the absence of dependence of the measurement results on the presence of external parasitic illumination.
