QUICK-RELEASE SLIP UNIVERSAL JOINT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F16L37/00

Abstract RU 2682800 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the connection of the quick-release spline universal, intended for use both for the fixed connection of equipment to each other, and with the transmission of torque to the left and right, or to connect equipment to the tubing or to flexible tubing pipes (FTP) with the possibility of passage of the medium inside the connection without loss and pressure reduction in the tubing or FTP. Quick-release slip universal joint consists of a coupling and nipple, one end thereof contains elements for interconnection thereof it further comprises a latch to prevent axial movement and separation of the nipple and coupling, where the coupling body is made with a three-stage internal through-passage hole, and the nipple body has an end mating (corresponding to) shape and size with a through hole, the elements for interconnection thereof are made in the form of slots and teeth, with the slots and coupling teeth located on the inner diameter of the largest stage, and the nipple is at the middle stage, the inner surface of the middle stage of the coupling and the outer surface of the nipple end are made with grooves that form an annular channel with access to the outside in the form of a stepped hole with internal thread for the installation of a clamp, made in the form of a flexible ring element, one end thereof is provided with a threaded element for fixing in the coupling housing.

EFFECT: invention provides for creating a quick-release, sealed joint, having the ability to transfer torque both to the left and to the right without the risk of latching a tool and not requiring a special tool for assembly and disassembly.
