METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT PERIMETRY IN PATIENTS WITH NO CENTRAL VISION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B3/24

Abstract RU 2682932 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for carrying out perimetry in patients with no central vision. Perimetry is performed using a portable device consisting of a virtual reality helmet with a display and a computer for sequential presentation of patterns and recording of research results. Before the perimetry, the forearm and hand of a patient are fixed in a vertical position in front of an examined eye behind the outer surface of the helmet so that the index finger tip is located in front of the examined eye on a line of the mind's eye. Fingertip is put on the tip of the finger, equipped with piezo- or thermo-or electro-irritating elements in contact with the skin of the finger and connected via a USB connector to the computer. Signals generated by software with variable random changes in the process of perimetry are fed to these elements from the computer.

EFFECT: method provides the ability to quickly obtain the results of the study of the state of the visual field in patients with no central vision and who are unable to keep their gaze at the fixation point.
