FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of screening-diagnostics of glaucoma pertains to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Test picture of sixteen equal quadrates with shared visual angle of 40° vertically and horizontally, symmetrically arranged around the central flashing point is presented on the screen of the computer. Visual angle of each of the quadrates makes 10°×10°. Gaze of the examined eye is fixed on the central flashing point. Whereat position of the visual axis of the eye is maintained stable on the central point, through elimination of halving of the image of the central point on the screen displacing its copy into the zone of retinal blind spot. In each of the quadrates without repetitions is presented a test - picture of achromatic sinusoidal white-and-black grid with spatial frequency of - 0.25 cycle/degree, exposed to the action of time frequency in the range of 10 - 36 Hz within 20 seconds in each of the quadrates, whereat stripes of the grid are oriented vertically or horizontally. Patient's response is registered by the doctor as a picture of the matrix net, equivalent to the results of the vision values of the patient in each of the measuring quadrates. Cells of the matrix net may be painted white, grey or black in different amounts and combinations corresponding to the ranges of photosensitivity levels and registered in the data carrier.

EFFECT: method increases efficiency of the application of the technique in mass screening through shortening time of examination, increasing its sensitivity and specificity.
