Heat transfer system contains a supply pipeline, and a return pipeline, and a load circuit with a load pump, a flow control device for regulating the supply flow in the supply pipeline, the flow control device is designed in such a way that it regulates the inlet load temperature at the inlet of the load circuit by regulating the feed flow, it is equipped with a temperature sensor in the load circuit and a limiting regulator designed in such a way that it restricts the supply flow to a predetermined maximum depending on the temperature signal of the temperature sensor. Method of limiting the feed stream in the heat transfer system provides that the inlet load temperature is controlled by changing the feed stream, and the feed stream is limited to the maximum flow, taking into account the temperature recorded in the load circuit.

EFFECT: this allows hydraulic equilibrium to be ensured, since, on the one hand, the feed stream can be established depending on temperature, and on the other hand, the feed stream does not cover up tightly for a long time, as is the case with a balancing valve.
