FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, in particular to a power plant for converting rain energy into electricity. Power plant includes housing 1 having a shape and cross section of a downpipe, inside which rainwater concentrator 2 and turbine 3 with bucket blades on shaft 4, generators 5 mounted on the outer side of housing 1 and connected to shaft 4 are installed. Blades are located in the direction of flow of rainwater with the possibility of free rotation around the axis of shaft 4. Shaft 4 intersects the central axis of housing 1, and its ends protrude along the edges of housing 1. Blades are completely located inside housing 1, diametrically overlapping its inner space, having the ability to freely rotate inside it around the axis of shaft 4. Concentrator 2 is two chutes located one above the other opposite each other, so as to overlap the cross section of housing 1. Lower chute is tapered. Size of the lower part of the chute is equal to the width of the blades and rainwater, flowing randomly in the downpipe, falls into the chutes of concentrator 2 and is jetted to the blades, rotating them in the same direction.
EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of a power plant and compactness thereof.
