SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laundry care appliance (1) comprising at least one drum (3) for receiving laundry (31) and at least one unbalance compensation device (13, 14), located on drum (3) for laundry and containing body (18, 21), in which several compensating elements (20, 23, 27, 29, 32, 33) are placed so that they can be moved, at least some of compensating elements (20, 23, 27, 29) made in the form of permanent magnets or ferromagnetic, and unbalance compensation device (13, 14) contains at least one holding device (26, 30), connected rotatably with drum (3) for laundry and containing electromagnet (42), configured to generate a magnetic field creating a magnetic holding force between electromagnet (42) and magnetic compensating elements (20, 23, 27, 29). In addition, the invention relates to a method of operation of household appliance (1).
