FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: household appliance (1) includes housing (2) subject to vibrations and damper (9) attached to housing to damp vibrations and containing support frame (10) rigidly attached to housing (2); at least one first magnet (11, 11') rigidly attached to support frame (10) and at least one second magnet (12, 18, 12') installed on support frame (10) with possibility of sliding so that one of its magnet poles faces one of magnet poles of the first magnet (11). Besides, either the first magnet (11, 11') or the second magnet (12, 18, 12') is electromagnet (12, 12', 18). In addition, damper (9) includes AC power supply (13) of induction coil (17, 20) of electromagnet (12, 12', 18) so that back-and-forth movement of the second magnet (12, 18, 12') can be induced along support frame (10). Device includes electronic central control unit 15 of power supply (13) and is able to determine at every subsequent point of time the frequency of alternating current that is to be supplied to induction coil (17, 20) of electromagnet (12, 12', 18) for creation of mechanical vibrations in opposite phase to mechanical vibrations of housing (2) of the device in order to decrease the amplitude of its mechanical vibrations.
EFFECT: lower amplitude of mechanical vibrations.
