FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical engineering and is intended for cleaning interdental spaces. Interdental cleaner has a gripping portion and a cleaning portion. Interdental cleaner is formed by an elongate body made from a thermoplastic material. Cleaning portion has a coating comprising a heat-vulcanised rubber material forming peripheral, flexible brush members. Body includes a body of the cleaning portion, which, after it is coated, forms a cleaning portion. Body of the cleaning portion narrows towards its free end and comprises axial ribs and grooves.
EFFECT: invention allows the configuration of a brush protrusion having favourable flexing properties, balanced with suitable rigidity, due to the axial ribs and grooves in the cleaning portion.
