Method of communication includes: sending a message including a measurement configuration by the base station, to the UE, wherein the measurement configuration is used to request the UE to report the global cell identifier for the cell; receiving a measurement report communicated with the UE by the base station, wherein the measurement report corresponds to the measurement configuration and includes a global cell ID for the cell and cell band information; and implementing handover between cells based on the information of the band and the global cell identifier for the cell by the base station.

EFFECT: technical result is to provide an opportunity for the base station to receive complete and accurate cell band information, which allows you to correctly make a handover decision, avoiding unsuccessful handover.
