FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the battery and the method of its manufacture. Battery includes at least an electrode group including a positive electrode, a separator, a negative electrode and a protective layer, wherein the separator is placed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the positive electrode includes a positive electrode down conductor, a mixture layer of the positive electrode and the lead of the positive electrode. Lead of the positive electrode is electrically connected to the down conductor of the positive electrode, and the protective layer covering the surface of the lead of the positive electrode has a volume resistivity, which is in the range of values from one to 100 times greater than the volume resistivity of the mixture layer of the positive electrode. Volume resistivity of the protective layer can be adjusted, for example, by the content of carbon particles in it.
EFFECT: preventing leakage current and improving battery reliability is the technical result of the invention.
