SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the design of covers for tight sealing of disposable, usually paper or plastic cups having flanging, and a method for tight sealing of such cups. According to the first version, the cover includes a body with a seating surface and an outer covering and a fixing rim connected to the body, which is made with possibility of fixed fixation on the body with formation of a closed cavity for placement of the shell flanging. Housing has on its side surface an open annular cavity with annular wall, on which fixing holes are located. Fixing rim is made with formation of two open branches, on which fixing ledges are located for interaction with fixing holes of annular wall, wherein fixing rim is connected to body by means of hinge joint. According to the second version of the cover design, the fixing rim with the body is made in the form of a single part, the fragments of which are connected by means of a bridge to a rectilinear bending groove, the open cavity of which is made on the side opposite to the location of the mounting surface of the body. Method of hermetic closure of the cup includes installation of the cover according to one of the versions described above on its open part and its tight fixation using the shell flanging. For this purpose, the cup is put on a solid surface, and after the cover is installed on its open part, the cover is pressed to exclude the cup overturning, resilient branches of fixing rim are sequentially or simultaneously brought to outer walls of cup and brought to it with subsequent coverage, after which resilient branches by their further rotation are fixed fixed on annular wall of cover along its perimeter. After removal of the cover, it can be reused on other cups.

EFFECT: as a result, universal covers for hygienic and sealed closure of disposable cups, which are easy to manufacture, simple and reliable during installation on cup are created.
