SUBSTANCE: catadioptric optical telescope having a modified optical Maksutov-Cassegrain structure comprises an axially elongated housing having a generally cylindrical inner portion, an inlet end and an outlet end; spherical meniscus correcting lens mounted on the inlet end of the housing and comprising first and second surfaces and a centrally located reflective coating located on the second surface; primary mirror mounted on the outlet end of the housing, which is a Mangin mirror and comprising a central aperture, first and second surfaces and a reflective coating located on the second surface. In the central aperture of the primary mirror there is a flat field lens aligned axially relative to the correcting lens and the primary mirror. Correcting lens and primary mirror have first surfaces facing each other in the inside of the housing.
EFFECT: small size, low weight, mechanical stability are provided while maintaining high image quality.
