FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to self-cutting screw from stainless main material. Self-cutting screw made of austenitic or other stainless main material comprises rod with cutting or forming boring or threaded tip located at its end and with solid boundary layer formed on rod on section of drilling or threaded tip and at least on section of abutting thread on surface. At least on solid boundary layer of drilling or threaded tip there is galvanically applied a solid coating containing layer with presence of transition metal. Top layer of lubricant and heat-removing material is applied on hard coating.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of drilling.
