SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to the prevention of the ignition of a vehicle engine when a fuel-dispensing valve is located in the area of fuel intake. Vehicle includes a fuel inlet area, a camera and a processor. Processor, in response to the ignition switch in the on position, must detect with the camera whether the dispensing valve is in the fuel inlet area. Processor prevents the vehicle engine from starting when the fuel-dispensing valve is located in the fuel inlet area.
EFFECT: safety of fuelling the vehicle is achieved.
