FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing a catalyst for copolymerisation of butadiene with isoprene and can be used in production of rubber of general purpose in the industry of synthetic rubber. Disclosed is a method of producing a catalyst for copolymerisation of butadiene with isoprene by reacting rare earth elements (REE) chlorides with a monohydric alcohol and a solvent, followed by mixing with a conjugated diene and an organoaluminium compound, method consists in the fact that monoatomic alcohol is 2-ethylhexyl alcohol in molar ratio of REE:2-ethylhexyl alcohol = 1:1.8–3.0.
EFFECT: disclosed method of synthesis enables to obtain a catalyst with high activity (yield of copolymer 97½-98,8 %) with shorter synthesis time, leading to a copolymer with high tear resistance.
