FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to printing, in particular, to methods of applying images, including decorative, marking, protective, onto the surface of various products, and can be used for hot foil stamping of products from various types of paper. Method of hot foil stamping of paper products with involves making a block with a working profile height exceeding the thickness of a product material by 10–50 %, mounting it on a printing press. In the process of stamping the block heats up to 150 °C, the pressure of the press with the block on the surface of a paper product through the foil is 20–60 kg/cm2.
EFFECT: distinctive feature of the claimed method of hot foil stamping of paper products is that when transferring an image in the process of stamping, a delay of ½ s to 2 s is experienced, which allows improving the quality of the print left on paper.
