SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wrapping ring fasteners during assembly of tires for vehicle wheels. Loop is applied on a drum comprising a radially expandable/compressible intermediate annular portion and, axially adjacent to the opposite axial ends of the intermediate annular portion, a pair of radially expandable/compressible lateral annular portions. Circular fastening structure is connected to the radially external circular section of the loop surface formed at the intermediate ring section. Each of the opposite end edges of the loop is turned upwards on the circular fastening structure by means of the side annular sections as a result of the pusher force, communicated by respective lateral annular section of pair of lateral annular sections due to synchronous radial movement and synchronous axial displacement of corresponding plurality of first circumferential angular sectors.
