FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of wrapping retaining ring structural elements during tire assembly. Technical result is achieved by method of wrapping retaining ring structural elements during assembly of tires for vehicles wheels, including: applying hinge (210) on annular part of radial outer surface of wrapping drum (2), made with possibility of radial expansion / contraction, at station (13) of hinge application; loading retaining circular structural element (100) on wrapping drum (2) in radial external position relative to said loop (210) at loading station (14); bending up each of opposite end valves (220a, 220b) of hinge (210) on retaining circular structural element (100) to form a wrapped retaining circular structural element (200); unloading wrapping circular structural element (200) from wrapping drum (2) to unloading station (15); transfer of wrapping drum (2) between loop staging station (13), loading station (14) and unloading station (15). At that, operations of loop laying, loading and unloading are performed simultaneously with each other on three different wrapping drums (2). Note here that bending operation is performed during wrapping drum (2) movement from loading station (14) to unloading station (15).
EFFECT: shorter cycle time of the entire assembly plant and simple installation itself.
