METHOD OF PRODUCING HIGH-POWER CATHODE MATERIAL BASED ON LiFeMnCoPO SOLID SOLUTION WITH AN OLIVINE STRUCTURE FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H01M4/58 H01M10/525 C01B25/45

Abstract RU 2684895 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrode materials based on complex phosphates of transition metals and lithium and can be used to produce cathode active material for lithium-ion batteries and batteries based on such material. Method of producing material of formula LiFe1-x-yMnxCoyPO4, where 0≤x≤1, 0≤y≤1 and the sum of x and y does not exceed 1, characterized by the structure of olivine, includes steps of: a) obtaining particles Li3PO4; b) holding the residue formed at step a) for at least 1 hour; c) introducing into reaction mixture at least one compound which is a source of one or more Fe2+, Mn2+ and Co2+ cations, where sum of molar amounts of Fe, Mn and Co cations is approximately equal to molar amount of Li3PO4, and at least one organic co-solvent such that the co-solvent weight content in the reaction mixture is from 20 % to 80 %; d) reaction mixture is heated while stirring in an inert gas atmosphere in an autoclave at temperature in range of 190–210 °C for at least 1 hour.

EFFECT: invention provides high cycling speeds and stability of operating characteristics during long-term operation of electrode materials.
