SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the method of ground vehicle guidance along the required trajectory of movement and the vehicle navigation system. For vehicle guidance, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal is received, indicating the position of the antenna installed at the first vehicle location, a gyro signal is received from the gyro sensor, determining the position of the land vehicle point of interest at a second location different from the first one in a specific way; determining the heading of the point of interest based on the position based on the previously determined data, determine the calibrated heading on the basis of the heading directions determined by the gyroscope, and the heading based on the position, issue a control signal. Navigation system contains one or more processors, a permanent machine-readable storage medium on which instructions are written for performing the method.
EFFECT: improved guidance of a ground vehicle for movement along a given trajectory is provided.
