FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing oil, in particular, to methods of extracting vanadium and nickel from petroleum coke. Method involves crushing petroleum coke to particles whose size does not exceed 0.05 mm, in presence of 8–10 wt % sodium chloride, 0.5–1.0 wt % sodium carbonate and 0.1–0.3 wt manganese dioxide, granulation in presence of ammonium nitrate solution, oxidative firing in 4 stages with observance of temperature conditions: 1) heating and drying from 20 to 150–200 °C; 2) preliminary calcination from 150–200 to 650 °C; 3) calcination at constant temperature of 850 °C; 4) cooling from 850 to 120 °C, successive leaching when heated with water at a ratio of S:L = 1:2.0–2.5 and sulfuric acid solution at a ratio of S:L = 1:1–2.5 and in presence of oxidising agent H2O2 and successive extraction of vanadium and nickel from solution by known methods.
EFFECT: degree of extraction of vanadium and nickel from coke is 92–96 %.
