FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to physiotherapy, and is intended for use in rehabilitation and treatment of patients with osteoarthrosis of knee joints. That is followed by a terahertz therapeutic course. Symptomatic drug therapy is accompanied by prescribing terahertz therapy procedures by exposing the medial surface of the knee joint. First and second procedures are carried out at emission power density of 0.1±0.03 W/cm2, with gap of 7 cm and exposure time of 8 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. Starting from the third procedure, radiation power density increases to 0.2±0.05 W/cm2, and the gap is reduced to 5 cm. Exposure time of the third procedure is 10 minutes, the fourth one – 12 minutes, fifth – 16 minutes, and starting from the sixth procedure, the exposure time is 20 minutes. Total therapeutic course is 10 procedures with frequency 4, 5 a week.
EFFECT: method allows reducing the inflammatory process, reducing the pain syndrome intensity, intensifying the reparative processes, and providing the stable therapeutic effect.
