SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of making dental prostheses. Disclosed is a kit for making dental prostheses, comprising a dental workpiece for milling, comprising porous zirconium dioxide material, and a coloring solution for coloring porous zirconium dioxide material. Porous zirconium dioxide material contains Zr oxide in terms of ZrO2: from 80 wt. % to 97 wt. %, Al oxide in terms of Al2O3: from 0 wt. % to 0.15 wt. %, Y-oxide in terms of Y2O3: from 1 wt. % to 10 wt. %, Bi oxide in terms of Bi2O3: from 0.01 wt. % to 0.2 wt. %, wherein porous zirconium dioxide material does not contain Fe in terms of Fe2O3 in amount of more than 0.01 wt. %, wherein values in wt. % are given with reference to porous zirconium dioxide material weight. Coloring solution contains at least one solvent, at least one coloring agent containing metal ions selected from ions Tb, Er, Pr, Mn, or their combination, wherein the solution does not contain Fe ions in amount of more than 0.01 wt. %, wherein the solution does not contain Bi ions in amount of more than 0.01 wt. %, wherein values in wt. % are given with respect to the weight of the coloring solution. What is also presented is a method for making a dental prosthesis, which comprises the following steps: providing said dental workpiece for milling, which contains porous zirconium dioxide material, milling an article from porous zirconium dioxide material, wherein the article has the shape of a dental prosthesis with outer and inner surfaces, providing said coloring solution, application of solution for coloring on at least part of surface of article, having shape of dental prosthesis.
EFFECT: by simultaneous use of said dental billet for milling, containing bismuth, and said solution for coloring, substantially free of iron, dentures can be made with almost all required tooth colors.
